Simply beautiful Burgundy from a seventh-generation family producer and one of the region's leading lights in terms of biodynamic and organic viticulture. This Gevrey-Chambertin is fermented with native yeasts and 30% stem inclusion, adding spicy tannins to the wine which is smooth and velvety across the palate with notes of cassis, red cherry, cocoa, clove, and exotic spices. Trapet's judicious use of oak means this wine is already a pleasure to drink (especially after decanting) though it has the bones to last.
