TISSOT 2020 'D.D.' ARBOIS POULSARD

From one of the producers who has made the Arbois a hot spot, this is a dynamic, light-weight red with loads of cherry-esque fruit and freshly turned earth notes. Named for vintner Stéphane Tissot's father, this captures the wild side of the Jura: Peppery spice notes harmonize with earthy undertones, red currants, and wildflowers plus a distinct and lovely mineral undertone. From Tissot's Biodynamic vineyards, this is made in the traditional style utilizing old, large oak barrels and minimal sulfur. It is fantastic with a slight chill.
