This is a delightful, classic Santenay: It is round and weighty in all the right places, without ever feeling heavy or out of balance. Vignerons Isabelle and Jean-Yves Vantey farm their parcels in Burgundy Biodynamically, and hand-harvest all of their grapes which are then allowed to ferment in a mix of old, open-top wood fermenters and stainless steel. Using native yeasts and almost no sulfur, the wine is beautifully floral and fresh, with just-pick orchard and citrus notes on the palate.
