From the rural outskirts of Lisbon, winemaker André Gomes Pereira saved a handful of old vines from destruction to make this lovely vinho tinto...hence the name "nao condenado" or "uncondemned." The Fernão Pires (white) and Trincadeira (red) grapes were grown organically with low-intervention and fermented together using Medieval winemaking traditions. The result? A delicious mix of baking spice, flowers, and tobacco on the nose, with black fruit flavors and chocolatey tannins.
