Very traditional Nocino, starting with walnuts tjhat are handpicked, usually on June 23rd, and laid out on jute to collect dew overnight.  The husk is then macerated with sugar and spices until Christmas which is perfect timing for a warming and soft delicious liqueur/amaro.  You need one bottle to carry in your pocket to warm you up on the coldest of nights, and one for the kitchen where you can use it in baking and cocktailing.
