CLOS DU ROUGE GORGE 2020 'VIEILLES VIGNES'

This is simply one of the transcendent wines that we've tried in a long while. Cyril Fhal upped and moved down south after making wine in Loire feeling inspired by trying wines that showed elegance and finesse from other winemakers in the Roussillon area. And with care, Fhal produced an absolutely beautiful expression of Carignan that most would probably have thought impossible due to the heat that this area is known for. If you're looking to take a break from Burgundy, take this for a spin. You won't be disappointed.
