Clarisse de Suremain came into wine in a roundabout way. First, she trained to be a classical pianist and then went to business school. One day, she had a chance encounter with Richard Leroy, the famed Loire Valley winemaker. Being convinced, she went down to Burgundy where her family have holdings and took charge of a small plot of her own. Applying a deft hand with incredible finesse, it's got all the usual Beaune markings and at the same time a beautiful, ethereal lightness.
