Cairanne is a great village to drink Cotes du Rhone from, producing classic old school wines that are soft and spicy at the same time. Mostly Grenache, as you would expect with a balanced amount of Syrah and a splash of Carignan - it starts out lush and red with a tiny bit of black pepper spice and then a great soft finish. Just easy drinking like a warm hug.
