From the island of Pantelleria, which lies just off the coast of Sicily, comes this dynamic and naturally made red. built to satisfy your cravings for the Mediterranean: Aromas of wild herbs, minerals, and tart red fruit like cherry, strawberry, and pomegranate harmonize in a wine that's medium-bodied and expansive on the palate. A blend of Biodynamic Nerello Mascalese and Alicante grown on poor volanic soils, the grapes are fermented naturally with wild yeasts in stainless steel tanks where they macerate with the skins for 15 days. Afterward, the wine is aged in steel tanks for eight months before a brief stint in chestnut barrels to add even more spicy complexity. Bottled unfiltered and ready to party.
