What was intended to be a pure expression of Viognier that got side tracked with the addition of some Chardonnay - dropped off on a Saturday afternoon hence the name - this is a zero/zero wine to make your palate dance. Made out in Greenport by the illustrious Leslie Merinoff (who you might know as a distiller of your favorite Matchbook spirits), this is all bright aromatics with a soft persistence and a zesty balanced acidity. A wine to restore your faith in natural wine making and get excited about Long Island all at once.
