HERMANOS PECINA SENORIO DE P. PECINA 2009 CRIANZA RIOJA (MAGNUM)

The beauty in your glass is the result of a newer estate, started in 1992, focused on classic wine making. The grapes are all hand picked, fermented with native yeast, a tiny bit of sulfur used in the barrel that mostly dissipates by bottling and then two years in barrel and one in bottle. The wine is a lovely garnet color in the glass with lively raspberry and vanilla on the nose, a bright rolling mid palate with nice acid, tons of brambly fruit, a little spice and then it finishes with the warm hug of vanilla and raspberry brioche. It works so well.
