Margherita Otto is an up-and-coming winery from an American expat turned Piemontese, making traditional Barolos. Alan Manley makes his Barolo in the old style of assemblaggio, a method of combining all the parcels together and co-fermenting them. The Nebbiolo for this bottling comes from Monteforte d'Alba, Serralunga d'Alba, and Castiglione Falletto. It is immediately gratifying from opening to the last sip. Ripe and bright red fruit with delicate floral notes all balanced by a woody stemmy tannins. It will make you feel so luxurious and sexy.
