HOLGER KOCH 2017 PINOT NOIR *

Holger Koch consistently makes some of the best Pinot Noir in Germany. If you haven't had this bottle then don't bother coming at me. There is a quiet soulfulness to this wine, from one of his more steeply terraced vineyards this is pure mineral driven Burgundian wine, and France is just a stones throw away so you can understand where that sentiment comes from. Yet it is still somehow Swabian in it's expression, persistent and graceful but not showy - pure delight.
